Let your sales copy generate trust, not penalties.
A legally compliant sales infrastructure for e-commerce sites: preliminary information, the distance sales contract, withdrawal and return processes, and multilingual sets.
The text set is the contractual infrastructure of e-commerce
Every order is a distance contract, and its validity turns on complete preliminary information, a correct confirmation flow, and texts that match what the business actually does. Copy-and-paste texts fail in two places: consumer disputes, and audits under Law No. 6563 (the Turkish E-Commerce Law) and the consumer legislation.

Components of the set
The set comprises the preliminary information form and the distance sales contract (with product, price, delivery and withdrawal terms); the right-of-withdrawal notice and the exceptions to the 14-day period (custom-made production, hygiene products and the like); the return-and-exchange policy; and consistency with the membership and cookie-KVKK layer (compliance programme). In the order flow, the confirmation checkboxes and the record (log) system are the proof itself. Changes from 1 January 2026: on withdrawal, the cost of return shipping now falls on the seller; the right of withdrawal has been reinstated for certain electronic goods; and a mediation notice has been added to the texts. Older sets therefore carry provisions that cannot be applied on every return. Details are in our 2026 guide.
A multilingual set for cross-border sales
Selling into the EU brings the consumer rules of the target country into play: the withdrawal notice must match the EU standard form, and language requirements and platform rules apply. The Turkish set and the EU set must be built on a single architecture, free of contradictions — details are in our EU e-commerce guide.
The legislative anchors
On the Türkiye side the framework is Article 48 of Law No. 6502 together with the Distance Contracts Regulation; at the e-commerce layer, Law No. 6563 and its secondary legislation come into play. For sales into the EU the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83) applies, and in Germany the distance-contract provisions of the BGB (§312 et seq.): whether the withdrawal notice follows the standard form, the order in which mandatory information is presented, even the wording on the order button — all of these are formal requirements. On the product side the GPSR introduces mandatory information for online sales and rules on a responsible person established in the EU. The text set is written at the intersection of these layers; copying a single-market template into a multi-market operation is the most common source of error we see.
Who is it for, and how do we work?
The set is most often commissioned by D2C brands selling from their own website, operations running marketplace and website sales side by side, and subscription businesses. In sales of digital content and services, drafting the exceptions to the right of withdrawal is particularly delicate.
The process is kept short: it starts with an analysis of the operation; the set is handed over for publication with release notes for the teams who will use it; and changes to the withdrawal and returns flow are carried through as far as the customer-service replies. The cross-border design is tied into the overall plan of our international e-commerce focus area.

Custom-made products may fall within the withdrawal exception; but the exception only works if it is defined clearly and correctly in your legal texts. We draw up a category-based map of the exceptions.
No — they must be tied into the consent flow and generate a record for every order. The log of the "I have read and accept" checkbox is the first piece of evidence requested in a dispute.
Starting the period incorrectly (counting it from the order rather than from delivery) and expanding the exceptions without any legal basis. Both lead to extended periods in the consumer’s favour and to penalties.
Three items need updating: return shipping costs passing to the seller, the changes to the withdrawal exceptions, and the mediation notice. We scan your pre-contractual information, contract and return policy together and close the gaps in a single revision.
