KVKK Privacy Notice

In this Privacy Notice, we explain the purposes, legal grounds and methods by which we process your personal data in our capacity as data controller.

This Privacy Notice has been prepared to provide transparent information about the personal data processing activities carried out by Köksal Attorney Partnership.

Data controller

This Privacy Notice concerns the processing that is subject to Turkish Law No. 6698, and for that processing the data controller (veri sorumlusu) is Köksal Attorney Partnership (Köksal Avukatlık Ortaklığı). For applications and information requests you may write to [email protected] or use our communication channels.

A different party is responsible for the data arising from use of this website and for European and international data; those details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Personal data categories

Identity, contact, file content, transaction security, financial records, career application, and cookie data may be processed to the extent connected with the relevant process.

Legal grounds

Your data may be processed based on the legal grounds of the establishment or performance of a contract, the fulfilment of our legal obligations, the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right, and legitimate interest. Where explicit consent is required, consent is additionally obtained.

Duty to inform

This notice has been prepared to provide clear and accessible information about our data processing practices.

Transfer of personal data

Your data may be shared with authorised public institutions, bar associations, courts, secure technical service providers, financial advisors, and, to the extent the matter requires, local or international experts.

Online forms, self-assessment and commercial communications

The identity, contact, and request-content data you submit through the contact, career, newsletter, and preliminary-assessment forms on our website, together with the documents you share, are processed for the purposes of responding to your request, carrying out the preliminary assessment, and providing our services. Preliminary-assessment records are deleted or anonymised within at most 2 years following the conclusion of the request; if an attorney engagement is established, file records are subject to professional retention periods.

Unless you submit the form, the answers you provide in the self-assessment tool on our Focus Area pages are kept only in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your own device and are not transmitted to us; you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser data. If you share your answers via the form, they are processed solely for the purposes stated above.

Commercial electronic messages concerning campaign, event, and legislation newsletters are sent solely on the basis of the separate and optional consent you provide under Law No. 6563 (Turkish Law on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce) and the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages. You are asked to confirm your consent by clicking a link sent to your e-mail address; no message is sent to a record that has not been confirmed. Before any commercial electronic message is sent, your consent is registered with the Turkish Message Management System (İYS). You may withdraw your consent free of charge at any time. Consent and withdrawal records (together with date, channel, source and confirmation details) are retained as part of our burden of proof.

Data subject rights

To exercise your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law), you may apply through the KVKK Application Form or our communication channels. Applications are assessed within the statutory period.
